The goal of my thesis is to provide a theoretical context to situate the work that Common Energy is doing within the evolving political ecology of climate change. In particular, I am looking at the relationships between the "commons" in an ecological, social, and formal (or legal) context. My work focuses on the potential role of the university as a formal commons mediating the complex and networked relationships between society and ecology.

Most of my recent writing I cannot publish on the internet because it will contribute to my thesis, which is still in progress. This is a paper I wrote a couple of years ago while very new to Victoria, and extremely new to food issues.
